So it’s not everyday that you pay a cool $17 million to live in a haunted creepy a$$ place. Also, you’ve got to wonder why it’s for sale. New season of American Horror Story with a new cast and new house? Hmm likely story. I feel like there’s some serious Curse of Macbeth and/or Poltergeist business going on here.

Today we look at this Los Feliz Architecturally inspired Mid-Century Modern masterpiece. Only artsy creative types are allowed beyond this point.
The warm blend of wood & steel combined here with imaginative landscapes of the outside views, yard fountains and natural light, creating an incredibly inviting inside/outside vibe. Characteristic of mid-century modern architecture, the raised ceilings, off keel roofing, big steel windows and access to the outside seems to tear down the boundaries between the natural and the man-made.

David Schimmer from Friends named his house Rachel, and now its on the market for sale. Yeah… sorry if that was misleading or a decade removed from relevancy. And while he may call it Rachel, the house has an actual name. Completed in 1926 by the architectural firm of Koerner & Gage (the guys who built Beverly Hills City Hall), this historical home is named the “1999 Design House.”

All alliteration aside, this mid-century modern marvel is near-overly ornate and offering ostentatious oddities.
