Attention Artsy Folk
| November 16, 2011 | Posted by Matt under Architecture & Decor, Contemporary, Los Feliz, Mid-Century, Modern, Most Searched, New Listing, Real Estate |
Today we look at this Los Feliz Architecturally inspired Mid-Century Modern masterpiece. Only artsy creative types are allowed beyond this point.
The warm blend of wood & steel combined here with imaginative landscapes of the outside views, yard fountains and natural light, creating an incredibly inviting inside/outside vibe. Characteristic of mid-century modern architecture, the raised ceilings, off keel roofing, big steel windows and access to the outside seems to tear down the boundaries between the natural and the man-made.

This three bed, three bath Mid-Century was listed, yesterday, in the Hollywood Hills West area. Let’s take a look inside.

The kitchen is pretty sharp, don’t you think?

The master suite is also roomy and framed by large windows. It’s complete with a clean, spacious master bath.

Mid-West Architecture

An old friend from the Mid-West sent me friendly Facebook message last night with the headline “Home Guidance”. I get excited about messages like this.

Comparing Mid-West real estate prices to West-Coast prices can drive a person insane. This beautiful 4 Bedroom, 2 Bathroom, 1700 sq/ft architectural significant home is listed for $159,000.
Is the snow, rain, ice, and heat in the summer worth moving back to Kansas City for this cool Dwell inspired home?
Modern Silver Lake Real Estate

Whoever said that the high end market in Silver Lake is dead, is dead-wrong. Take a look at this listing here on one of the best streets in Silver Lake in the Ivanhoe Elementary School boundary.

This home was listed on the open market last week for a total of 7 days before receiving multiple offers. We are expecting that the Seller will be receiving more than the $1,120,000 list price.

What does this mean when a home sells in 7 days. This tells the market that there is a pent-up demand for mid-century modern homes similar to this in Silver Lake.

So far year-to-date as of 9/2/2010, Silver Lake has only seen 6 single family home sales selling over the $1,000,000 mark. How many more will we see this year?
