B-Trendy in Beverly Hills
| April 8, 2011 | Posted by Matt under Beverly Hills, Contemporary, Curbed LA, Real Estate |
It seems like every time you bring hot pink into a house you’re gonna cause a ruckus.

This home was reamed by “commentators” on Curbed LA, yesterday, for it’s use of hot pink and Bobby Trendy-style staging. But those participants often get their panties in wad over silly things. What are your thoughts?

Sans furniture, (which is the way it would be sold) this living room is pretty cool, overlooking the pool, with vaulted ceilings and the two-sided fireplace.

Ah, memories! Here’s a little update on some of the awesome properties that we’ve mentioned in the past few months.

Remember 2510 Chislehurst in Los Feliz? What a sweet Spanish doll! She just sold last week for the asking price, $2,295,000.

And 9446 Beverly Crest in Beverly Hills. This flipped baby closed at $3,678,425 last Friday. I remember I ate more than my share of After Eight thin mints at an open house here–Good times!

610 Cole Place
Beverly Hills, CA 90210
$10,900,000
This place is pretty bad-ass! Basically, it’s a house of glass floating on a sea of twinkling lights. Sounds incredible, huh? What are we doing standing out here in the motor court, let’s take a look inside.

So this is your humble, front entryway over a cool pond with fountains. Personally, I’d kick up the bad-ass level, here, by adding an alligator or two to this serene little pond. But, koi are cool too.

9446 Beverly Crest Drive

Let’s take a look at this recently renovated home in Beverly Hills. In July of 2010, it sold for $1,500,000. Since then, it’s been pimped, and now it’s listed for $3,995,000. Take a look at these before and afters, and tell us what you think.

(BEFORE)
This living room was given a little attitude with the new dark wood features and elaborate chandelier.
Shabby Chic Spanish

1517 N Beverly Drive
Beverly Hills, CA 90210
$1,395,000
Hey Green Thumbs, looking for a secret garden of your own? This 2 bed, 2 bath, 1920’s Spanish sits beyond a cozy, private, outdoor living room complete with a fantastic fireplace and surrounded by lush vegetation–including olive trees!

The indoor living room, here, features 14ft ceilings, with exposed rustic beams, fireplace, and hand-scraped, lime-finished hardwood floors. The century-old technique of lime finishing wood creates a bleached, whitewashed effect.
