A River Runs Through It

Hey Architecture Nerds! You might like this one. TakeSunset sure did! It’s the Norton House, designed by Buff and Hensman, in 1954. Don’t ask me why it’s called the Norton House.

I wonder if it’s named after Edward Norton? Probably.

It’s kinda like a time capsule in here.

They sure don’t put fun chicken and fish mosaics up in every house these days.

700 Laguna Road
Pasadena, CA 91105
$2,199,000
Here’s another great home available in the San Rafael neighborhood of Pasadena. This one is a 4 bed, 4.5 bath, New England style property with views of Johnston Lake.
According to the Pasadena Museum of History, “Johnston Lake was once a hub of commerce. In the late 1800s, Southern California was a premium wine producing region; San Rafael Winery, on the banks of Johnston Lake, was one of the most successful.” So, apparently, (shocker alert) Johnston Lake was not named after everyone’s favorite aspiring model/actor and baby daddy, Levi Johnston.
