Gothic Modern on Appian Way
| August 2, 2011 | Posted by Matt under Architecture & Decor, Hollywood Hills West, Los Angeles, Real Estate, Sunset Strip |

Here’s a home new to the West Hollywood Hills market on Appian Way. Ah, “via appia” brings back memories of three years in high school Latin class.
You know, the original Appian Way was revered by, the Roman poet, Statius, who called it longarum regina viarum, or “queen of long-distance roads.” But I digress.

This 5 bedroom, 5 bath, Architectural “Gothic Modern” has been beautifully renovated and updated perfectly for a stylish modern lifestyle.

Hey Bachelors, THIS is quite a trophy pad! (I can smell the Axe male grooming products from here.) You’re looking at the Miami Beach-style, poolside cabana with a bar and flat screen TV.

The master suite opens wide to incredible city views.

I wonder if the first modern architect lost his level?

Then he was like, “Screw it. I’ll make the ceiling crooked. If anyone asks, I’ll just say I meant for it to be that way.” The trend obviously caught on with other lazy architects, and the rest is history.

Then the construction guys got lazy too. They were like, “I’m tired of building all these walls. Let’s just tell the window guy to put great big windows everywhere.”

Ah, memories! Here’s a little update on some of the awesome properties that we’ve mentioned in the past few months.

Remember 2510 Chislehurst in Los Feliz? What a sweet Spanish doll! She just sold last week for the asking price, $2,295,000.

And 9446 Beverly Crest in Beverly Hills. This flipped baby closed at $3,678,425 last Friday. I remember I ate more than my share of After Eight thin mints at an open house here–Good times!
